A concert dedicated to the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty" was held at Nakhchivan State University
First, the dear memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who died for the Motherland was remembered, the National Anthem was played.
The event organized by the "Music Training" chair of the Faculty of Arts was attended by the university's vice-rector for social issues and public relations Nicat Yagubov, People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Jafarov, teachers and students.
In the concert program, the teachers and students of the university, as well as the students of the English-oriented Gymnasium under NSU, played selected musical samples. "This beautiful country is ours" by Naila Mirmammadli, "Ballad of the Motherland" by Faig Sujaddinov, "Cangi" by Uzeyir Hajibeyli, "My son of Azerbaijan" by Alakbar Taghiyev, "Azerbaijan" and "Genius" by Aygun Samadzade, "Khudayar classification" by Alibaba Mammadov, "He is Nakhchivan" and other works were welcomed by the audience.
Vice-rector for social issues and public relations Nijat Yagubov, who spoke at the event, emphasized that the celebration of 2025 as the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty" in the country is connected with the coming together of important historical moments. The 30th anniversary of the adoption of the 1995 Constitution and the 5th anniversary of the victory in the Second Karabakh War, when Azerbaijan's territorial integrity was ensured and national sovereignty was fully restored, make this year special. In this framework, a series of events are held at NSU in various directions. The vice-rector said that the concert program is also a part of those events, and he especially valued the stage experience of the first-year students of music majors as an important step.
