A conference dedicated to the anniversary of the establishment of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was held at Nakhchivan State University

In the conference the heads of departments and faculties of the university, employees, teachers and students staff participated. Afirst, the dear memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence, the National Anthem was played.

Trade Union Committee Chairman Nijat Yagubov made a speech and noted that a series of events were organized last year in our country, in the autonomous republic, as well as in Nakhchivan State University, based on President Ilham Aliyev's Decree "On the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic".  He drew attention to the complex socio-political situation in the region in the 1920s, the historical significance of the Moscow and Kars agreements on the road to autonomy, and the great leader Heydar Aliyev's intense political struggle and determination in 1990-1993 to save Nakhchivan from Armenian occupation and the threat of its autonomy being abolished.

Aziz Gasimov said that Nakhchivan has its unique place in the history of our country's statehood. "autonomy is a historical event, the result of a great struggle in a difficult period". Senior teacher of the Chair of International Relations Emin Shikhaliyev Moscow and Kars agreements regarding the fate of Nakhchivan irreplaceable documents are called . He said that the strategic and geographical importance of Nakhchivan, which is an integral part of Azerbaijan, is again on the agenda of the world in the perspective of opening the Zangezur Corridor. In his speech, Mirzazade also emphasized that Nakhchivan is a hot spot of historically difficult military-political struggles, and that historical, military-politicaland diplomatic processes are of crucial importance in gaining and preserving autonomy.

It should be noted that the authors of most of the literature are the employees of Nakhchivan State University.
