A dual diploma and other cooperation opportunities were discussed between NDU and Shanghai University of Engineering Sciences
Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev and the university's delegation held a meeting with the management of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, one of the prestigious higher education institutions of the People's Republic of China.
At the meeting, the perspectives of expanding education, scientific research, innovation and international academic cooperation between the two universities were discussed. The parties touched upon the creation of the HSK-Chinese language international level examination center at Nakhchivan State University, as well as the expansion of Chinese language preparation opportunities. The implementation of the initiative, being the first step in this field in Nakhchivan, will enable the organization of HSK exams and the implementation of the Chinese language preparation process at NSU.
Among other areas of cooperation, issues of creation of dual degree programs at the master's level in the fields of artificial intelligence, design and renewable energy are included. In these areas, opportunities related to the preparation of joint educational programs, the implementation of scientific research projects, the organization of student and teacher exchanges, as well as the participation of NSU students in summer schools in Shanghai were considered. It was stated that such initiatives can contribute to increasing the international experience of students, expanding the academic relations of teachers and developing the scientific potential of both universities.
Shanghai University of Engineering Sciences mainly specializes in engineering, applied technologies and design. The university's strengths include automotive and mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, computer science, aviation and rail transport, energy technologies and creative design. Special emphasis is placed on practical training, collaboration with industry and innovation.

After the meeting, the NSU delegation got acquainted with the campus, teaching and research infrastructure, modern laboratories and specialized faculties of Shanghai University of Engineering Sciences. The organization of educational and scientific activities of the university, relations with industry and experience of international cooperation were reported.
The visit is considered an important step in terms of strengthening mutual relations between the two higher education institutions, establishing new academic partnerships and establishing joint educational programs. The parties expressed their interest in developing opportunities for cooperation in the discussed areas through specific initiatives and joint projects in the future.
