A large event dedicated to March 5 - Day of Physical Education and Sports was held at NSU

Before the event, there was a visit to the exhibition of the achievements of university students in the field of sports and the Sports Museum.

Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev congratulated the event participants on the occasion of a significant day. Rector emphasized that sport plays an important role in the formation of a healthy lifestyle and spiritual and psychological development of young people. He also spoke about the achievements of the students in the championships of the Republic of Azerbaijan and various sports competitions held within the framework of the Olympics.

The rector noted that the special attention and care given to sports in our country, as well as the decrees and orders signed by President Ilham Aliyev in this field, are an important contribution to the development of Azerbaijan's sports potential. gives.

Note in the speech of the chairman of the University Sports Club Mammadali Rahimov said that various sports competitions and tournaments are organized every year in order to involve students in sports and support their physical development. The chairman of the club said that these competitions serve to form a healthy competitive environment among students, strengthen team spirit and effectively organize the leisure time of young people. Speaking on behalf of the students, Nasrin Babayeva spoke about the conditions created for the development of young people at the university. In his speech, the chess player expressed his gratitude to the university management, especially the rector, for the attention and care shown to the students to study and engage in sports. Nasrin Babayeva noted that the created opportunities make an important contribution to both the academic and personal development of students. It was pointed out that such awards stimulate students' interest in sports to increase and achieve new successes. The students who achieved these successes represent not only the Faculty of Pedagogy, but also other faculties of the university.

Thus, one student was awarded the first place in the Grand Prix international karate tournament held in Tbilisi. In addition, a student of the university won first place in the international chess tournament.

In the Azerbaijan championship, students of the university won first place in fencing and MMA, third place in national wrestling, and second place in volleyball.

In the championship of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, two of our students won first place and one second place in table tennis. Also, three people won the first place in badminton, one person won the second place, and two people won the first place in boxing. In the Friendship tournament held in Turkey, the judo student of the university won the 3rd place.

In the artistic part of the event, colorful music was performed by the "Nuhchivan Ritm" group and the "Bazmicahan" dance group composed of students of the College of Music under NSU. and dance numbers were shown. Speeches received with great interest by the audience added a special atmosphere to the event.
