Rector's adviser (on economic issues), deans, directors of colleges under the university, international school and gymnasium, staff of the Scientific Library, IT department and representatives of the Media center took part in the meeting.
The rector of the university, Elbrus Isayev, said that the main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the library's general activity, the results achieved, the library's action plan for 2025, access to electronic databases, and the current situation. Mammadova talked about the achievements achieved in 2024, the state of existence of the library, and the main goals and tasks set for 2025.
It was announced that the library's total stock is 180 thousand traditional books, prepared in the library It consists of 8 thousand electronic resources. In addition, the library has created funds consisting of the Works of Central West Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani Scientists Living Abroad.
One of the important events for the Scientific Library in 2024 is the launch of the Library's new NDU-LIB system and lib.ndu.edu.az website. The main goal of creating a new system is to realize electronicization of large-scale and foreign language literature. Let's note that the NDU-LIB system is an improved new system created by the employees of the IT chair of the university. EBSCO Discovery, where we subscribe to 74,604 general publications, has access to international electronic databases. It was noted that in 2024, Clarivate company's ProQuest Dissertations&Theses Global database and Taylor & Francis international publishing house's e-books were available free of charge.
