A meeting was held with first-year graduate students at Nakhchivan State University

A consultation was held with the first-year graduate students studying at NSU and their academic supervisors. The main purpose of the event was to discuss the problems that arise in the process of preparing dissertations, to find solutions to existing difficulties in this field and to put forward proposals aimed at improving the quality of teaching. It was noted that research work is one of the main indicators reflecting the university's academic level, and every student should base his subject on aspects of scientific and practical importance. In order to increase the quality of education, the duties of the graduate students and academic supervisors were also discussed at the meeting. Elbrus Isayev emphasized the importance of students taking into account the requirements of the time, innovative approaches and the specific needs of the region when choosing dissertation topics. Also, the scientific supervisors should not be satisfied with just giving directions in the research process, but should actively support the graduate students.

At the event, special attention was paid to the requirements given to the graduate students during the teaching of the subject "Research methods". The Rector noted the importance of teaching this subject in a more efficient and practical way. It was stated that the research methods should not be limited only to the transfer of theoretical knowledge, but should also be aimed at the formation of practical skills in students. It was emphasized that in order to gain access to international scientific bases, global cooperation and integration into modern research, graduate students must master the English language at a perfect level.

At the end of the event, the dissertation topics and difficulties faced by the graduate students were widely discussed, their questions were answered and various proposals were put forward.
