A presentation of books dedicated to the 44-day Patriotic War was held at Nakhchivan State University
On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the glorious Victory won in the 44-day Patriotic War, a presentation of books dedicated to our martyrs who died for the homeland was held at Nakhchivan State University. Family members, close relatives and comrades of the martyrs also participated in the event.
First, the memory of all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence.
University Science The director of the library Khumar Mammadova gave information about the event and noted that the meeting was "An unfinished novel" by Elkhan Yurdoglu, executive director of the Institute of Arts, Language and Literature, Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS, doctor of philosophy, associate professor Elkhan Yurdoglu. Member of the Union of Writers, Union of Journalists, editor of Nakhchivan Television, poet-publicist Tarana Arifgiz is dedicated to the presentation of the books "Worldwide Immortality". class="employee-link" title="Nijat Yagubov profile">Nijat Yagubov made a speech and emphasized that the historical victory achieved in the Patriotic War is a clear embodiment of the unity of the Azerbaijani people, the strength of our army and the heroism of our martyrs. On the eve of the 5th anniversary of the complete restoration of the territorial integrity and state sovereignty of our country, and the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution, which is the legal basis of our independent statehood, it is very important to organize such events in the upbringing of the young generation as loyal to the state, attached to the national ideology, and patriotic. At Nakhchivan State University, the theme of patriotism is always kept in mind, meetings are held with families of martyrs and veterans, literary and artistic events and book presentations are regular. Auditoriums were created in the university bearing the names of graduating martyrs and keeping their memories alive, sections with information and photos about our martyrs were organized in the faculties. For three years now, the first lesson of each semester has been held by families of martyrs and veterans, and the bravery of heroic sons and the way of war are instilled in the younger generation. The books presented today are also of special importance in terms of recognizing the young sons of the country and conveying their memory to future generations.
Shahla Shiraliyeva, head of the "Journalism and literature of foreign countries" department, noted that Elkhan Yurdoglu's book "An unfinished novel" is dedicated to lieutenant Nijat Mammadli, who was heroically martyred in the battles for Sugovushan on October 8, 2020. He said that by the relevant decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the martyr Nijat Mammadli was posthumously awarded the 3rd class "Courage" order, "For the Motherland", "For the liberation of Sugovusha" and "Brave warrior" medals. Sharing her impressions about the book, Shahla Shiraliyeva said that the book contains the memories of the martyr's family members, close relatives, comrades-in-arms and those who knew him, and the short but meaningful life of the hero is fully described. It is dedicated to senior lieutenant Ragib Huseynov, who was heroically martyred in the battles in the direction of Talish in the first days of the war. It was emphasized that according to the decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Ragib Huseynov was posthumously awarded the medals "For the Fatherland", "For Bravery", "For the liberation of Lachin" and "For the liberation of Sugovusha". The book contains impressive poems, photos and information reflecting the life and battle of the hero martyr.
At the end, the authors expressed their gratitude for the attention and stressed that they will continue to write books about the hero martyrs in the future.
