A round table on "Uzeyir Hajibeyli genius of our national music" was held at NSU

A round table was organized in the Scientific Library of Nakhchivan State University with the participation of teachers and students of the College of Music operating under the university. Director of the library, doctor of philosophy in philology, associate professor Khumar Mammadova emphasized that the works of the famous composer are widely included in the library fund and spoke about their importance in terms of researching the musical heritage.

Director of Music College, Honored Teacher Mahabbat Babayeva signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in connection with the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Uzeyir Hajibeyli in 2025 brought the order to attention. He spoke about the socio-political environment of the era in which the genius composer lived and noted that his music played an important role in the formation of our national and moral values.

Emerited teacher Samira Huseynova speaking with a poem dedicated to the composer, her artistic path contributed to the development of Azerbaijani music. He emphasized that he is rich in contributions.

At the event, which continued with discussions, students played the works of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, and at the end there was a viewing of the exhibition called "Uzeyir Hajibeyov - 140".
