A round table was held at NSU on the topic of the outstanding poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzade

A round table on "Citizen poet of all times - Bakhtiyar Vahabzade" was organized in the Scientific Library of the higher education institution with the participation of university students. Director of the library, doctor of philosophy in philology Khumar Mammadova drew attention to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 21, 2025 "On the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Bakhtiyar Vahabzade". Stating that poets' creativity is constantly remembered at NSU, events are held in this direction, the director emphasized that such meetings not only increase students' interest in literary heritage, but also strengthen their patriotism. Khumar Mammadova spoke about the unparalleled contributions of playwright, educator and public figure Bakhtiyar Vahabzade to Azerbaijani literature and culture.  

Doctor of philosophy, associate professor of philology at the "Azerbaijani Linguistics" chair of the University Ganira Asgarova noted that the poet, a prominent literary critic, always prioritizes the topic of language in his journalistic articles and poetry. The head of the "Azerbaijani literature" department, doctor of philosophy in philology, associate professor Nurlana Aliyeva gave extensive information about the life and work of Bakhtiyar Vahabzade, a prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature, People's Poet. The speakers recited selected poems of the poet and performed literary analyzes on them.

The event, which continued with discussions, ended with a viewing of the exhibition dedicated to the work of Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh.
