Innovation in Azerbaijan's Higher Education: The First-Ever Large-Scale International Training Month Program Launches at NSU
The opening event of the large-scale International Training Month program was held at Nakhchivan State University. The Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev, the management team of the university, teachers and students of the Faculty of Medicine, as well as the founder of the Cardiovascular Clinic of Acibadem Hospital, Professor Cem Alhan, took part in the event. Adviser Rajab Jafarli informed about the program. He said that within the framework of the program, 21 trainers from 6 different countries will conduct training at the university. The trainings will be held by well-known experts from the USA, Japan, England, Turkey, the Netherlands and Uzbekistan. In accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN, the trainings will be organized on 21 topics in 5 main areas, including education, science, internationalization, resources, and sustainability will be in 3 languages - Azerbaijani, Turkish and English.
Declaring the event open Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev emphasized that this year April is the month of International Training announced in advance at Nakhchivan State University. Certified training will be provided by qualified specialists invited to Nakhchivan from universities and scientific research institutes of different countries of the world. This program will enable participants to share global knowledge and experience. Each training will be organized on the basis of modern methods and will be enriched with interactive discussions, practical studies and group work. The rector pointed out that the organization of trainings of foreign teachers has always been in focus, but this time such large-scale international trainings are organized for the first time both among national universities and at Nakhchivan State University. Elbrus Isayev added that this event is part of the university's general development strategy plan and we are interested in bringing innovative innovations to the university in all fields.
Cem Alhan, the founder of the Cardiovascular Clinic of Acibadem Hospital in Turkey, made a speech, greeted the event participants and thanked them for the invitation. The professor drew attention to the information about the education and activity period. He noted that he has signed important world firsts in robotic heart surgery operations. For the first time in Turkey, he performed heart valve replacement operation using robotic method. Also, in the history of world medicine, he performed five different operations on the heart at the same time using the robotic method. To date, he has performed more than 15,000 successful heart surgeries and achieved a 99% success rate in Bypass surgeries. The professor shared his impressions of being in Nakhchivan for the first time and gave detailed information about robotic surgery.
Note that the program covers the dates of April 1-30. During the month, certified trainings will be given by specialists who have the right to conduct internationally certified training.
