Nakhchivan State University will cooperate with Acibadem University and hospitals: Memorandum was signed
On June 19, Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev visited Acibadem University, one of the most prestigious universities in Turkey. Within the framework of the visit, the delegation led by the rector visited Acıbadem hospitals and Acıbadem University founder Mehmetali Aydınlar, Acıbadem University rector Prof.Dr. Met with Ahmet Sahin. In the framework of the meeting, cooperation opportunities in the field of medicine were discussed. A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Nakhchivan State University and Acıbadem University and Acıbadem hospitals. Extensive cooperation is planned in the direction of organizing internships for students of the Faculty of Medicine of NSU in Acıbadem hospitals, involvement of professional doctor-professors in the training, teaching and research process at NSU, and ensuring the participation of medical therapists and students in training at Acıbadem University, which is the second largest medical training center in the world. During the meeting, talks were held on the development of relations between NSU and Acıbadem University in the field of Medicine.
Let's note that those centers in the world are considered the most advanced medical institutions and educational institutions that have simulation cabins. Acıbadem is one of those rare centers in the world with a wide network of 24 hospitals and leading education in the field of medical sciences and education. The Case Simulation center here is among the top three worldwide centers with a special educational model. It is the only center in Turkey with an Advanced Endoscopic and Robotic Surgery Training Center.
The simulation center has 2 Da Vinci robotic devices, which are considered the most innovative devices in the world. This device is very important in enriching the experience of those studying residency, as well as doctors working in various surgical specialties. At the same time, the center provides the opportunity to use undamaged limbs of people who have lost their lives for various reasons. Orthopedic operations in particular are performed on natural bone and soft tissues as in a real patient, and this process provides excellent experience in terms of applying medical knowledge. At the same time, the simulation of the restoration of fractures and wounds in a natural limb with a closed method is carried out. Students' knowledge and skills are evaluated according to the topics on models provided with programs that reflect the symptoms of various diseases. People who act as special patients are also invited to the center. These persons, called simulation actors, perform the role-model function from which students collect the correct anamnesis, examine them and try to determine the diagnosis.
Students perform the examination of children's diseases, newborns, gynecological, trauma, artificial respiration, heart massage, pupillary reflexes in the emergency medical model. they learn on models. Here, the group practices the simulation model, then watches the video recorder together and discusses where it went wrong. This gives the students of the Faculty of Medicine prior experience in the organization of teamwork in the future.
The center, which makes a big difference with its educational methods and technological infrastructure, in the direction of training, specialization and professionalization of medical personnel, provides extensive training on live and simulation tools for NDU students within the framework of cooperation. As a result The successful cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine and the Hospital of Acıbadem University will play an indispensable role in both students and resident doctors gaining rich experience and becoming highly qualified doctors.
