It was emphasized that this year is particularly significant because on February 3, 2025, President Ilham Aliyev signed a Decree on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the birth of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, the founder of professional music art and the national opera of Azerbaijan. , who led the development, noted that it is a pride to keep alive the creativity of the genius composer. The Rector emphasized that the creation of the Conservatory at Nakhchivan State University is connected with the name of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, and that the institution of higher education has a great responsibility in the face of the ongoing state care. In order to justify this great trust, the importance of the university's art collectives to work diligently was noted. In this context, the rector said that the "Symphonic Orchestra" of Nakhchivan State University consisting of 150 members, the "Ancient Folk Musical Instruments" Ensemble, the "Wind Instruments" orchestra and other music groups performed memorable concert programs at events held in the autonomous republic and the country. At the end of his speech, Rector Elbrus Isayev congratulated the music community, the staff of the Conservatory and music lovers on the occasion of "National Music Day".
