NSU was represented at the trainings held at the Institute of Information Technologies  

At the Institute of Information Technologies, with the support of the EaPConnect (Eastern Partnership Connect) project of GEANT (Association of European Science and Education Networks), which connects the countries of the Eastern Partnership, trainings dedicated to the issues of organizing eduROAM services have been launched.

Training AzScienceNet Network Management Center system/network specialists, IT-specialists, as well as responsible persons of the relevant departments of ADA University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Karabakh University, Nakhchivan State University, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Huseyn Asgarli, head of the Information Technologies Chair of Nakhchivan State University, participated in the training.

Firstly, the vice-president of ANAS, general director of the institute, academician Rasim Aliguliyev, founded by the European Commission and the establishment of a high-speed regional Internet network in the fields of science and education of partner countries, their He spoke about the wide opportunities provided by the EaPConnect project for partner countries, which provides for the integration of Europe into the science and education network infrastructure. Noting that Azerbaijan has been represented in the GEANT Association through the AzScienceNet network of the Institute of Information Technologies since 2010, the scientist drew attention to the fact that the EaPConnect project has been active in Azerbaijan since 2015. > The vice-president of ANAS noted the importance of wide organization of eduROAM, which is one of the services provided within the framework of the EaPConnect project, in various scientific and educational institutions of Azerbaijan. Alim emphasized that the eduROAM service provides the opportunity to connect to the Internet for free and freely by using the internal network infrastructure of the organizations that join the eduROAM services of these countries during the missions of the employees of scientific and educational institutions to foreign countries. Noting that the Network Management Center has a great role, he said that this service creates an opportunity for AzScienceNet users to connect to the global Internet network from anywhere in the world, and a number of higher education institutions of Azerbaijan benefit from these services. He emphasized that the eduROAM service was held with the support of the EaPConnect project in order to spread it more widely in our country and to organize the implementation of these services in scientific and educational institutions.
