On the occasion of December 3 - the Day of Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Regional Abilimpia Championship was held at Nakhchivan State University

The event was jointly organized by the National Abilimpia Federation, Social Services Agency and Nakhchivan State University.

Nakhchivan State University vice-rector for social issues and public relations Nicat Yagubov welcomed the guests and participants and emphasized the importance of such events and that people with physical disabilities are always in the focus of NDU.

Then the President of the National Abilimpia Federation Ilgar Rahimov noted that the main goal of the competition is to reveal the skills of people with disabilities, increase their social activity and support the building of an inclusive society. He spoke about the work done by the National Abilimpia Federation in this field. 42 Olympians participated in 7 professions, including tar, saz, drum, accordion, singing, weaving and tailoring.

Later, the leading specialist of the National Abilimpia Federation, Ilham Maharramov, gave an informative speech on "Abilimpia movement". It should be noted that the chairman of the jury consisting of the teaching staff of NSU was the Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vugar Jamalzadeh.

At the end, the winners were determined and an award ceremony was held, a commemorative photo was taken.
