The 80th anniversary of Akram Mammadli, a teacher of the Faculty of Arts of Nakhchivan State University, a personal scholarship of the President, and an outstanding artist, is being celebrated.
Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev held a meeting with national artists, cultural and public figures of Azerbaijan who visited the university within the framework of the 80th anniversary event of Akram Mammadli, the master Tarzan, pedagogue, public figure, author of musical works, researcher and Honored cultural worker. Director of Asaf Zeynalli Music College, Professor, Honored Art Worker Nazim Kazimov, Artistic Director of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Folk Instrument Orchestra, Professor, People's Artist Agaverdi Pashayev, Baku Music Academy teacher, Professor, Honored Art Worker Arif Asadullayev, teachers of the Azerbaijan National Conservatory and tar performers who were students of Ekram Mammadli took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the rector spoke about the development of the university and drew attention to the work done within the framework of President Ilham Aliyev's "State Program for the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027". Information was provided on the new majors created at the university, including Information Security, Medicine (teaching in English), Nanoelectronics and MBA (Healthcare Management). The start of SABAH groups at the medical faculty, the organization of scientific seminars, conferences and symposia within the framework of cooperation protocols with foreign universities was specially emphasized. The activities of the College, Medical College and Music College were touched upon. In addition, the Symphonic Orchestra and Jazz music events held at the university, concerts jointly organized by the Faculty of Arts and the Nakhchivan College of Music were also in the spotlight. they did. At the event, one of Akram Mammadli's students played the tara and the piano performance of the university's Faculty of Arts student was received with great interest by the guests. On behalf of Mammadli's artistic colleagues and friends, he presented a letter of thanks to the rector for organizing the jubilee at a high level. In addition, a carpet with the logo of the university and "Tomb of the Believer Khatun" was presented.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the guests presented a Belarusian-made piano to the Faculty of Arts of Nakhchivan State University. Rector Elbrus Isayev highly appreciated this gesture and emphasized that it is an example of the value given to the art of music.
In the end, the rector said that the cooperation of Nakhchivan State University with foreign universities within the framework of bilateral agreements, the involvement of faculty members of the Faculty of Arts and the continuation of support in the field of art greatly contribute to the development of Azerbaijani culture.
