Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev said that National Leader Heydar Aliyev is the independent architect and founder of Azerbaijan. The Great Leader Heydar Aliyev is a personality whose greatness is acknowledged and accepted worldwide. His rich legacy is our legacy, a contribution to the youth. The Rector noted that this year is also marked by the declaration of the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty" by the Decree of the head of state Ilham Aliyev, the 30th anniversary of the adoption of our Constitution and the 5th anniversary of our Victory in the Patriotic War. Within the framework of the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" at NSU, many different scientific-practical events, republican and international conferences are held, researches are conducted with the participation of teachers and students. The rector called scientific events within the framework of "Commemoration Week of the Great Leader" and "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty" held today by TEC as particularly commendable. He emphasized that during the commemorative week of May 5-8, we first visited the monument of genius Heydar Aliyev and the museum named after him in the city of Nakhchivan with the university team, there was an opening event and various events were held. The rector noted that the final conference of the scientific-research works carried out by TEC in the 2024-2025 academic year within the framework of the Memorial Week was an important initiative, and added that students' researches are taken into account and there are expectations of quality and sustainability from these researches. Rector said that more than 30% of the student contingent participates in certain activities of TEC. At the same time, he said that these statistics are heartening and wished success to the students.

Yusif Mirzazade, chairman of the Student Scientific Society, spoke. He spoke about the events presented within the "Commemoration Week of the Great Leader". He also said that 1,663 scientific research works were carried out by 1,745 students in the current period. He noted that over the past 5 years, the number of students engaged in scientific activities has increased by 3 times, and nearly 10% of students engaged in scientific research are foreign students. continued. Students studying various specialties of NSU listened to their research on interesting topics.
