The first class bell rang at NSU's Cambridge School and English-oriented Gymnasium

An event was held on the occasion of September 15 - Knowledge Day at the International Cambridge School and English-oriented Gymnasium operating under Nakhchivan State University. First, the memory of the martyrs was commemorated, and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played. The rector of the university, Elbrus Isayev, made a speech and spoke about the educational reforms implemented in the country, as well as the work done within the framework of the "State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027". He drew attention to the achievements and innovations in the educational process of the Cambridge School and Gymnasium.
The rector said that in the 2025-2026 academic year, 4 new classes have started working at the Cambridge School and a total of 130 students are studying, which means a double increase compared to the previous year. In the new academic year, 13 teachers and a second foreign coordinator started working, the professionalism of the academic staff was increased, and their participation in the courses was ensured. The school's material and technical base has been strengthened, repair and restoration works have been carried out, new textbooks have been purchased and library resources have been enriched. In the future, it is planned to further expand the application of electronic resources. Elbrus Isayev emphasized the successes of the Gymnasium in the last academic year and noted that the Gymnasium showed 100 percent results and each of the 36 graduates was admitted to higher schools. 16 of them have collected 500 overseas points. Higher results were recorded in the final exam of IX students, and one student scored a maximum of 300 points and was one of the nine students who achieved the highest results in Nakhchivan and in the country.
The rector said that within the framework of the state program, continuous opportunities for the development of the Cambridge School and the English-oriented Gymnasium are being enriched.
