The "Initial Conference of scientific-research works conducted along the TEC line in the 2024-2025 academic year" was held at NSU

First, the dear memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, Academician Zarifa Aliyeva and the martyrs who died for the Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence, and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.     

Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev, university management team, faculty deans, department heads and students at the conference participated.     

Speaking at the opening of the event, Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev stressed that such events play an important role in encouraging students to scientific activity. He noted that the foundation of great scientific achievements is laid by student research. "At this conference, we are witnessing the first steps of great scientists of the future. We spare no effort to support the development of every student who is interested in scientific research," the rector added. Elbrus Isayev said that within the framework of the student-oriented action strategy, the activity of the Student Scientific Society should enter a new stage, innovative approaches and mechanisms should be formed in this direction. Therefore, according to the decision of the Scientific Council of the university, it is planned to print two Student magazines for the publication of student research. Elbrus Isayev said that these publications will become an important platform for sharing the results of students' scientific research. At the same time, the Rector evaluated the involvement of students in scientific processes together with the academic staff as a positive thing in order to advance the university in international rankings and increase its scientific reputation.

Vice Rector for Science and Innovation Elsever Asadov gave information about innovations in the field of scientific research at the university. He gave a presentation on the new rules and options for the organization of TEC works by faculties, the procedure for writing, the discussion schedule, the evaluation criteria of scientific research work on the TEC line, the privileges given by the university for students who have taken a place on the TEC line, and a number of important issues.   

Nakhchivan State University Student Scientific Society Chairman Yusif Mirzazade gave information about the activity areas and structure of the Student Scientific Society for the 2024-2025 academic year submitted his report. He said that 1,745 students were engaged in scientific research in the current period, and the number of students engaged in scientific activity increased three times over the last 5 years. It is encouraging that up to 10% of students engaged in scientific research are foreign students. Also, in the 2024-2025 academic year of Nakhchivan State University, the articles and theses of about 40 graduate students and about 50 undergraduate students were published in journals and conferences of different countries. Yusif Mirzazade informed the participants of the conference about the events carried out by TEC and expressed his gratitude to the students for the conditions created. is the guarantee of our independence and sovereignty", Hajar Hasanova, a second-year student majoring in biology teaching, "Agrotechnology and useful properties of cultivation of Ordubad lemon plant", second-year student of the SABAH group, majoring in medicine, "Gastric ulcer prevalence level and analysis of risk factors among the population" presented their scientific and practical research works.
