The participants of the international conference got acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage of Nakhchivan

I International Conference on Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism dedicated to the 900th anniversary of Architect Acami Nakhchivan within the framework of the "Year of Urban Planning and Architecture" (ICCHST – Nakhchivan 2026) on a visit to Nakhchivan The delegation of the partner universities got acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage of Naxchivan. they visited the Duzdag Treatment Center, which is a healing center. During the tour, the guests were given detailed information about the uniqueness of the center created in the salt mines, its therapeutic significance, the conditions created here, as well as the paintings painted on the salt walls.

Then the guests visited the Ashabi-Kahf shrine, which is one of the world-famous, miraculous and mysterious places of Nakhchivan. The guests got information about the historical past and geographical importance of the village.

During the tea break organized in Dubandi, the guests were presented with samples of national cuisine typical of Ordubad cuisine.

Visit to Sarshaher and other ancient neighborhoods of Ordubad. The guests got acquainted with the historical architectural environment of the city, ancient living traditions and unique urban planning features, visited the Caesarea museum, historical neighborhood squares and ancient streets.

This trip, organized within the framework of the 1st International Conference on Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism (ICCHST – Nakhchivan 2026), provided not only the discussion of cultural heritage at the scientific level, but also its demonstration in real places, in accordance with the main goals of the conference.
