A meeting dedicated to the implementation of the "State Program for the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027" and projects planned for 2025 was held at Nakhchivan State University. Rector Elbrus Isayev noted that this State Program includes important projects for the development of the region and plays an important role in achieving the university's strategic goals. It was reported that the opening of new majors - Information security, Medicine (in English), Nanoelectronics and MBA (Healthcare Management) programs has raised the university to new heights. In particular, the establishment of SABAH groups in the Faculty of Medicine provided students with a high-level educational environment. It was also emphasized that holding international IELTS and SAT exams gave students the opportunity to confirm their knowledge according to global standards. Rector's adviser emphasized that the admission of students to SABAH groups at the Faculty of Medicine was successfully completed and 21 students started teaching. He noted that the process of creating the second campus intended for the Faculty of Medicine, Medical College and Medical Research Clinic was transferred to the 2025 action plan. Ülvi Bakhishli added that the double diploma program with Çankırı Karatekin University in Economics has started from the academic year 2024-2025. At the same time, an agreement was signed with the John Von Neumann University of Hungary for a double degree program in Computer Engineering and submitted to the relevant institutions for approval. He emphasized that work is being continued in the direction of the preparation and implementation of project proposals for the implementation of the planned measures in 2025-2027. there are cooperative relations with the enterprise. He emphasized that about 90 of these universities are higher education institutions of the Republic of Turkey. Aida Jalilzade pointed out that in 2024 bilateral diplomas and memoranda of understanding were signed with the universities of Hungary, Belarus, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the "State Program for the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027" approved by President Ilham Aliyev. In total, 12 memorandums, 6 ERASMUS agreements and 2 double diploma projects were implemented during the year. The vice-chancellor noted that negotiations for a double diploma in the specialty "Nursing" with Hacettepe University have entered an active phase, and 139 staff members of the Faculty of Medicine of NSU have undergone internships at various universities in Turkey. At the same time, 6 students joined the Azerbaijan University of Languages, and 2 students joined the online program of the Midwest University of the USA. He also pointed out that in 2024, 3 and 9 exams were organized at NDU IELTS and SAT exam centers, respectively. The teaching process is based on the Cambridge curriculum and all subjects and extra activities are conducted in English, and teachers and staff have a minimum IELTS 6.5 language proficiency. The director noted that the school also conducts programming classes for 6th graders and teaches students the basics of artificial intelligence, and the goal is to train students with information technology skills and knowledge in these fields in the future. Also, volunteering activities are organized in the school and students are involved in social projects. About 60 students are currently studying in the Foundation Program, which has been operating since 2023, English and mathematics classes are held within this program. In addition to management, teacher training, work with parents, provision of books and technical equipment, work is being done in the direction of issuing Cambridge and local certificates, integration into the UTIS system, and organization of scientific exhibitions. As part of the Cambridge accreditation process, it is planned to open a CELTA training center and recommend TKT certificates to teachers, as well as to hire foreign teachers and organize summer schools.>
