The student of NSU has achieved double success in the world championship

         Gafar Huseynov, a student of Nakhchivan State University, has achieved another success in the international sports arena.

Our athlete, who participated in the "16th Shotokan World Championship" held in Istanbul on April 24-26, showed high results. Gafar Huseynov competed in the categories "Shobu Ippon Kumite (75 kg)" and "Senior Male Shobu Nihon Kumite (75 kg)" and was awarded the 2nd place in both categories. Our athlete won a silver medal only in the decisive stage, losing to the Kyrgyz representative.

This double success achieved by our student at the international level is an indication of his professional preparation and perseverance. At the same time, this achievement is considered as the next contribution to the success of Nakhchivan State University in the field of sports.
