The world-renowned scientist, professor Khalil Kalantar trained at Nakhchivan State University

The member of the Coordination Council of World Azerbaijanis, world-renowned scientist, inventor, professor Khalil Kalantar passed the next training organized in the framework of the International Training Month at the higher education institution.  He said that Khalil Kalantar has been cooperating with Nakhchivan State University for several years, where he contributes to training and research processes. His scientific research at the university has been published in a number of high-index international journals, including in Japan. Joint scientific articles of the professor with NSU employees are also regularly published.

Then Professor Khalil Kalantar made a detailed presentation about LCD screens, micro-reflectors and micro-deflectors, modified BLU structure, structure of glasses for 3D, double surface emission backlight technologies and other innovative display technologies. He also explained his patented technologies to the training participants and talked about their practical applications.

Later, on behalf of Nakhchivan State University, a letter of thanks was presented to Professor Khalil Kalantar for his contributions to the scientific activity of the higher education institution.

Let us know that Professor Khalil Kalantar is the author of about 100 patents, more than 130 scientific articles and 6 books on electronics engineering and new generation display technologies. It is first recognized as a specialist in creating backlights for liquid crystal displays, which are a staple of household LCD TVs, computers and mobile phones. Alim has been working on optical devices and modules for LCD blocks since 1995. It is the first designer and manufacturer of light-directed micro-reflector and micro-deflector optical boards, microstructured functional optical designs. For his scientific achievements, the professor was awarded a special prize for the optical-design method used in LCD lighting in 2007, and received the "Best Article" award at the "SID" conference in 2011. He is also the editor of the special issue of the "Journal of SID", a member of the program committee of the SID Society and a regular participant in international seminars held in Japan. In 2016, it was awarded the "Technological Development Award" of the Liquid Crystal Society of Japan. Professor Khalil Kalantar, who has been working in Japan for nearly 40 years, is recognized not only in this country, but also in America, Asia and Europe as a reputable expert in the field of electronics and display technologies. The professor's scientific indicators are also high: the h index is 20, the i10 index is 48.

We should note that 21 trainers from 6 countries of the world conduct trainings on 21 topics in 5 main areas in 3 languages ​​within the framework of the International Training Month covering April 1-30. Representatives of all institutions operating in the autonomous republic also participate in these trainings free of charge.
