Training on teaching German language was held at the International School of NSU
On October 18, a training series on teaching the German language was organized at the International School of Nakhchivan State University. The training was jointly organized by the Goethe (Geothe) Institute, the German Language Teaching Center and Nakhchivan State University.
Before the training, Rector's adviser on strategic issues of Nakhchivan State University Rajab Jafarli made a speech and noted that in the strategic activity of the higher educational institution, the teaching of foreign languages and the improvement of their quality are given special attention. Today's training, which is a continuation of such activities, also serves as an effective platform for learning new knowledge for German-language teachers, participating pupils and students. Zahra Aliyeva spoke to the training participants about the perspectives of the German language in modern times and the sphere of demand for this language knowledge. He noted that learning the German language opens new doors in the field of education and career and said that this language has its own teaching method like other foreign languages.
Luka Sepashvili, coordinator of educational projects of the Geothe Institute, said in his speech that he was impressed to see the high interest in the German language during the training. He expressed his gratitude to the management and employees of Nakhchivan State University for organizing such a high-level event.
Teachers teaching German at Nakhchivan State University, students studying German, and high school teachers teaching German in the autonomous republic participated in six training sessions that continued throughout the day. Also, the participation of 7-14-year-old students from secondary schools in the autonomous republic, English-oriented Gymnasium and International school under NSU was organized. In parallel with the training, an info-session was held on educational opportunities and scholarship programs in Germany.
At the end of the event, certificates were presented to the training participants.
