International Teachers' Day was celebrated at the higher educational institution
On the occasion of October 5 - International Teachers' Day, an event was held at Nakhchivan State University. Before the event, there was a viewing of a video prepared by Nakhchivan State University television dedicated to the significant day. The Rector drew attention to the fact that the attention and care shown by Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of our people, who always values the name of the teacher, for the education of Azerbaijan is successfully continued today. With the patronage and care of the head of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who has successfully continued the policy established by the genius leader in this field, important steps are being taken in the direction of strengthening the material and technical base of educational institutions and strengthening the social protection of teachers. Observing the increase in the number of students who get high marks in the entrance exams and choose various teaching specialties of NSU shows that the name of an honorable teacher is valued in our society and the successors of professional educators are trained. In a word, in Nakhchivan State University, which today chooses the path of modernization as its main priority, pedagogic personnel are prepared according to the requirements of the new era. The speaker spoke about the implementation of the issues arising from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev's "State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027" by the professor-teacher staff of the higher education institution.
Ismayil Zeynalov, associate professor of the "General History" chair of Nakhchivan State University, old teacher, doctor of philosophy in history, highly appreciated the value given to the work of a teacher in a higher educational institution. He spoke about the services he rendered in the education of educated, patriotic young people during his 54-year teaching career. Teacher Ismayil drew attention to the fact that the skills and bravery of Azerbaijani soldiers, whether in the glorious 44-day Patriotic War that began in 2020, or in the successful 24-hour anti-terrorist operation conducted in the Karabakh economic region last year under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief, showed once again that the Azerbaijani teacher was able to prepare a generation that is patriotic and devoted to its village.
