At the invitation of the British Consulate on February 11, 2025 The event held at the residence of Mr. Fergus Auld, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Azerbaijan, was attended by representatives of the Education Development Fund, persons responsible for IELTS centers of higher education institutions and IELTS teachers. At the event, vice-rector for international relations of Nakhchivan State University Aida Jalilzade and IELTS coordinator Bayram Aliyev they represented the institution of higher education.

Nargiz Hajiyeva, the country director of the British Council Azerbaijan, and Nargiz Akbarova, the head of the Examination for the South Caucasus of the British Consulate, greeted the guests and talked about the essence of the event and the future prospects of partnership activities on IELTS. NDU, which has been operating since 2022, pointed out that about 250 candidates have been tested for IELTS academic English language skills at the IELTS Registration and Examination Center. The vice-rector noted that the exam in the center is carried out by computer-based appointment and is realized with the direct participation of the IELTS exam specialists of the British Consulate.
