"Organic Nakhchivan" 1st Republican Scientific Conference was held at Nakhchivan State University for the sake of a green world

In Nakhchivan State University, the 1st Republican Scientific Conference on "Organic Nakhchivan" was held for the sake of the green world. In addition to the management staff of NSU, teachers and students of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the employees of the Institute of Botany, Scientific Research Institute of Plant Protection and Technical Plants, Institute of Bioresources took part in the conference.>Rector Elbrus Isayev, who spoke about the implementation of the "State Program for the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for the years 2023-2027" at the beginning of the conference, drew attention to the preparation and implementation of the action plan in various fields. Speaking about the planned plans for NSU, the rector touched on the implemented projects: "We are in the forefront with our achievements such as the formation of the Cambridge school at the university, the creation of SABAH groups of medical students and the implementation of dual diploma programs. The dual diploma program signed in Hungary in the recent past is an important part of this activity."

The ideas that lead to the development of the university, as well as the society, are laid at the conferences where opinions on various fields of science are heard. Elbrus Isayev, considering the 1st Republican Scientific Conference on "Organic Nakhchivan" for the sake of a green world, as one of such meetings, emphasized the relevance of the issues raised at the conference and said that ecological sustainability and the development of agriculture support the expansion of organic production in the country, the protection of the environment and the health of the ecosystem. As a continuation of the conference, it was emphasized that in addition to the scientific research work at Nakhchivan State University, serious steps will be taken to promote the products of the Autonomous Republic at the international level and turn them into brands in the next year. The usefulness of holding the scientific event with various institutes and organizations in terms of strengthening scientific relations and mutual exchange of knowledge and experience was noted. and director of the Institute of Botany of the Ministry of Education, chairman of the Society of Botanists, professor Sayyare Ibadullayeva spoke about the importance of such scientific discussions held in terms of promoting the organic potential of Nakhchivan, protecting the natural wealth of the region and conveying the ecological values of organic products to the general public. At this stage, the importance of research conducted in support of sustainable development and ecological stability in Nakhchivan was specially emphasized. Assessing Azerbaijan's hosting of COP29 as an indicator of its increasing power and influence on the international scale, Sayyara Ibadullayeva noted that this fact demonstrates the leadership of our country in the field of combating global climate change.>Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Plant Protection and Technical Plants of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Professor Ibrahim Jafarov emphasized that not only organic agriculture, but also food safety is an important issue at the "Organic Nakhchivan" conference for the sake of a green world. He focused on scientific research on proper plant protection and breeding of technical plants to ensure food safety. The professor expressed the importance of creating appropriate scientific bases for increasing food production and ensuring the production of ecologically clean products in the country, and stated that continuous improvements in this field will increase Azerbaijan's competitiveness both in the domestic market and in international trade.>Associate Professor Ismail Mammadov, director of the Institute of Bioresources of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, noted that President Ilham Aliyev's declaration of 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" is of great importance for the initiatives to be implemented at the ecological level. He emphasized that the "For the Green World: Organic Nakhchivan" conference has a special place in this framework. The face-to-face and online conference was joined by individual enterprises in 6 departments About 30 topics were held with the participation of about 80 scientists.

Certificates were presented to the speakers at the end of the conference.
