A scientific-practical conference on "Economic development is the basis of sovereignty" was held in Nakhchivan

Our statehood and economic power, which became stronger under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, became one of the main factors that ensured our historical Victory in the Patriotic War in 2020. In 2023, with a one-day anti-terrorist operation, the remnants of the Armenian armed forces were cleared from our lands and the sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan was fully restored. Especially the business environment and diversification of entrepreneurial activities are among the main priorities of the state policy. Comprehensive measures are being taken to improve the environment of free competition, create equal access to resources, and strengthen the effectiveness of state support mechanisms. In the direction of socio-economic development of the regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, especially as a result of the implementation of state programs adopted since 2004, great successes have been achieved in the field of economic development, creation of new jobs and enterprises, as well as improvement of social infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. In addition to strengthening the existing potential of the region, these measures also created important foundations for the future development of Nakhchivan.
