The International Day of Architects was celebrated at NSU

An event was held on the occasion of the International Day of Architects at the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering of Nakhchivan State University.  

Rector of the University Elbrus Isayev made a speech and noted that The land of Nakhchivan has been known in the Middle East for its rare architectural examples since ancient times. In different periods of history, the art of architecture has reached a high level here. In particular, the medieval architecture in Azerbaijan is remembered for its magnificent historical architectural works in Nakhchivan, created by Acemi Abubekr oglu. Even today, these monuments are not only among the priceless examples of the architecture of the country, but also of the world, and are constantly under the attention of our state. The Rector drew attention to President Ilham Aliyev's Order dated May 22, 2025 on the restoration and conservation of the world-important Momina Khatun historical-architectural monument, and spoke about the activities in the field of architectural heritage protection in the projects implemented in the country.

NDUDean of the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering, Doctor of Mathematical Sciences, Professor Javanshir Zeynalov and Head of the Chair of Architecture Gulnara Ganbarova spoke about the history of the remarkable day.
