On June 25  Co-organized by the Supreme Court of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Nakhchivan State University "Constitution and Sovereignty Year" dedicated "Constitution Marathon" project closing ceremony took place.

Nakhchivan State University Speaking at the event, Vice Rector for Science and Innovation of the University Elsever Asadov said that in connection with the declaration of 2025 as the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty" according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a plan of events on various topics has been prepared and implemented at NSU is done. In this context, the "Constitutional Marathon" project serves to promote the importance of the constitution and constitutional values ​​among young people. He also emphasized that these initiatives, held on the eve of June 26 - Armed Forces Day, once again highlight the importance of restoring and protecting our sovereignty. The activity of law students in scientific activities is an indicator of the interest in this field.

Later, the judge of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Mehdi Aliyev, made a speech and said that the declaration of 2025 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan as the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty" is both increased legal awareness in the society, as well as gave an impetus to the work in the direction of the development of the professional skills of lawyers. The purpose of the "Constitutional Marathon" project is to contribute to the full preparation of the university's law students for the professional environment. Recalling the memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation signed between the Supreme Court and the University in 2023, Mehdi Aliyev said that the regular involvement of students in large-scale projects, trainings and internship programs in the Courts, holding scientific-practical conferences, seminars, training courses, lectures and meetings within the framework of cooperation has become a tradition and has a significant impact on the strengthening of their legal and practical knowledge and the formation of necessary professional skills. 14.0pt">Let's note that the "Constitutional Marathon" project started its work on May 6, and within the framework of the project, a meeting with judges, an interactive discussion session, panel discussions, a court simulation, a legal competition and a debate were held with the participation of students.
