A round table on "The most horrific tragedy of the century" was held at NSU

A round table dedicated to the Khojaly genocide was organized in English with the participation of teachers and foreign language teaching students in the Scientific Library of the higher education institution. First, the dear memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence. He emphasized that the Khojaly tragedy is one of the tragedies that left a deep mark in the history of Azerbaijan. He noted that the purpose of the event is to discuss the truths of Khojaly in English and convey them more fully to the international community.

Vice-Rector for International Relations of the University Aida Speaking in English, Jalilzade emphasized the history of the Khojaly tragedy and the importance of recognizing it as a genocide under international law. Touching on the progress of the tragedy, he said that innocent people were killed and noted that lands were returned as a result of Azerbaijan's struggle for justice. Then he pointed out that young people can play an important role in conveying the truth of Khojaly to the world community.

Chairman of the Student Youth Organization Kamal Nağılı stressed the importance of telling the youth not to forget our history and the truth of the Khojaly tragedy to future generations. He noted that such events contribute to the formation of the national consciousness of young people and their more sensitive approach to historical events.

The event, which continued with discussions in English, ended with the participants viewing the exhibition dedicated to the Khojaly genocide.
