The presentation concert of the "Turan" variety ensemble of NSU was held
On May 19, a presentation concert of the "Turan" variety ensemble of the Faculty of Arts of Nakhchivan State University was organized. Rector of the university Elbrus Isayev, Consul General of Turkey in Nakhchivan Asip Kaya and a delegation, students from Igdir University, as well as professors and teachers of NSU participated in the event. He said that the presentation was a successful initiative and considered it an important event in the cultural life of the university. The rector emphasized that the name of the ensemble "Turan" has a symbolic and ideological meaning for the Turkish world. He said that the sincere relations between the Turkish states and the cooperation of political leaders spread to all fields.
Consul General of Turkey in Nakhchivan Asip Kaya talked about the historical roots of friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. He said that the relations are further strengthened by cooperation in the field of education and culture, and that Nakhchivan State University plays an active role in cooperation with the universities of the Turkic world. The Consul General shared information about May 19 - Atatürk Memorial, Youth and Sports Day and noted that it is significant that the concert program coincides with such a day and that such projects are of great importance in terms of mutual understanding and sharing of common values among young people.
Classic and modern examples of pop music in the concert program was played. Rafig Babayev's "Fantasia", Vasif Adigozalov's "You O Childhood", "Sway" from Michael Buble's repertoire, Vagif Mustafazade's "Yollar", Bahram Nasibov's "My Delayed Love", Tofig Guliyev's "Nakhchivani", Emin Sabitoglu's "Bu dunya sirli dunya" as well as Lacho tribe's "Turkish Jazz" composition and other authors' works were greeted with applause.
Ensemble soloists are Tural Najafov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilkin Abdullayev, Honored Artist of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Zulfigar Mahmudov and Elmar Gasimov. Yusif Hasanli, teacher of the Chair of Instruments, concertmaster.
At the end of the event, Elbrus Isayev and Asip Kaya congratulated the entire ensemble for the successful presentation, and a commemorative photo was taken.
